Where will my consultation and fittings take place?

All consultations and fittings take place at the not6sun studio at Scott’s home in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, or at the Junction 36 shop in Barnsley.

However, home consultations and/or fittings can be arranged at an additional charge, starting from £10 for within a 30-mile radius of Rotherham or Barnsley.

What should I wear to my consultation/fitting?

In order to ensure the most accurate measurements, please wear thin clothing and the underwear you plan to wear under your new garment. If you’re planning on wearing your dress or skirt with heels, bring these with you, too.

What happens if I’m unhappy with the finished garment?

We encourage our customers to take their time and express any concerns to Scott during the design process and the fittings that follow. During your final fitting, you will sign our acceptance form to confirm that you are happy with the garment. However, in the rare event you get your garment home and find a problem with it, please contact us within three working days.

Please note, there may be charges if alterations need to be made to your finished garment.

How and when do I pay for my garment?

We accept payment via cash, card and bank transfer. The total balance is split into three payments, deposit, second payment and final payment. The deposit is 40% of the total balance and is paid after the consultation. Second payment is 30% of the total balance and is paid in the second fitting. Final payment is also 30% of the total balance and is paid on collection of your finished garment.

Why do you require a deposit?

40% deposit is requested upon agreement of the garment’s design to allow not6sun to purchase fabric samples and begin work on your order. Of course, it also helps prevent timewasters!

How long will it take to make my bespoke order?

As every not6sun garment is different in its complexity, it is difficult to provide a standard timeframe for bespoke orders. However, dependent on the craftsmanship and design work required, an ‘average’ order will take up to eight weeks from receipt of the deposit.

How much will a bespoke dress or skirt cost me?

Again, as every not6sun garment is different, a standard cost is impossible to provide. However, the quote not6sun provides to you will reflect the fabric used, the complexity of the garment and the craftsmanship required. All not6sun garments are made-to-measure by hand, and costs include our much-valued personal touches, such as face-to-face fittings and input on the design process.
